2/20 – Working at Trailer
- Designed final battery box and and determined all materials needed for box
- Determined lengths of receptacle wiring (#14) needed
- Figured out method of grounding. Would ground inverter and charge controller at the front-most roof beam, because this is the most accessible piece of metal that is connected to the main trailer frame. Would use a self-drilling metal screw with a ring terminal crimped onto #8 green wire.
- Determined length of grounding (#8) wire needed.
2/24 – Installation
- Drilled holes in roof for front 2 panels. Inserted bolts and sealed holes
- Installed wood frame for mounting of inverter and charge controller
- Completed constructing battery box. Simply need to place in trailer with batteries, screw into floor, and screw in front board
